![]() ![]() This rules out a problem with the wheels themselves.Īlso, the unit plays great over MIDI and responds properly to pitch wheel changes. ![]() I unplugged the pitch/mod wheel assembly to see if the warbling still exists when pitch bend is > 0 and it does. The warbling sounds like “sample and hold”. The pitch bend circuit itself is OK, but the analog signal it creates is not being converted to digital properly for use in altering pitch. Testing shows if you completely turn off Parameter 22 Pitch Bend Range (set it to zero), the warbling goes away. These may be used in conjunction so could work at same time, but still only affect pitch. Pitch wheel naturally affects pitch only. Mod affects LFO amount and cause vibrato. Or rather it does, but I just get a blank sample with a little ‘pop’ sound. This is one of the problems I need to fix. The Mirage plays, but does not sound right. You can still find it on ebay and amazon. While you can tape over the hole on a double-density disk, whatever you write to it will not last as long as compared to using the correct media. The floppy drive works so I can load the OS, samples, format disks, etc.īe sure to buy single-density floppy disks for use with the Mirage. Well-organized, simple board layout, nice breakout of PSU, Controls, Floppy, and main PCB. Have to pay for floppies! Initial Observations Leave a comment if you need something- not free but will be reasonable. I have about every disk image on the net and old Mirage audio editing software for PC. Because I have set up a Mirage and a fully working old PC with a floppy, I can make just about any floppy disk with any Mirage-related content (except for a few things I can’t share) you need. ![]()
